Regional Events

Each region of the Airflow Club of America is encouraged to plan and conduct meets and get-togethers of various kinds to promote and carry out the club purposes -- the appreciation, enjoyment, use, repair and restoration of Chrysler and DeSoto Airflow cars and Dodge tankers.

• The Eastern Region traditionally hosts a display booth at the Hershey AACA swap meet, followed by a dinner out on the evening before the car show.

 • Central Region usually has a planned get-together at a Chickasha Swap Meet.

• The Western Region plans a holiday banquet a few weeks before Christmas, usually held in the Los Angeles area.

Additional tours and weekend meet-ups are planned throughout the year. Coming events are announced in the Airflow Newsletter, and information about near-term events can be obtained by contacting the Region Director

2023 Eastern Region Fall Banquet

The Eastern Region displayed a booth at the 2023 Hershey swap meet, first full week of October, and held their traditional party and banquet at The Gathering Place in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. Attendance was lighter this year at both the swap meet and the banquet, but it was great to experience both these events.

2024 Western Region Winter Meet-Up

Regional Director Phyllis Allstott and her husband Jerry put together a great meet for the region the weekend of March 1-3. Members of the Region gathered in Camarillo, California, for a sometimes-rainy but overall excellent time. Museum visits, lunch together, and a group banquet! We visited the Commemorative Air Force WW II Aviation Museum and saw volunteers restoring and maintaining a variety of old warplanes. After lunch at the Allstotts’, we visited the US Navy Seabee Museum with its collection of machinery, vehicles, and panoramic displays of Navy construction successes over more than a century. We concluded with fine dining at Ottavio’s; the photos tell the story. Thanks to the Allstotts for their effort in planning such a fun activity for the region!
