Airflow Club National Meet!
The Airflow Club has reserved the beautiful Cambria Pines Lodge in Cambria, California, for our 2023 National Meet! The Central Coast of California is known for mild, even cool, temperatures during midsummer and will provide a welcome break from the hot July weather of much of California and the US. Cambria is right on the coast, with the beautiful Pacific shore is just a couple of miles from our host hotel. There is a regional airport at San Luis Obispo, less than 40 miles from the hotel. Amtrak service is also available to SLO.
The Central Coast has become known in the past few decades for winegrowing and winemaking. Wines, especially reds, from the Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo region are increasingly appreciated in California, across the country, and around the world. Hearst Castle, now a California State Park, is just 10 miles from our host hotel.
A nice collection of Airflow automobiles, including some newly completed restorations, is expected. There is no place in the world to see a better collection than at an Airflow meet!
Check out the draft program below for an idea of the activities being planned for the Meet. Notice the green blocks of free time in the schedule. Recognizing that friendships and shared expertise among our long-time and newer members are a major benefit of the Airflow Club, we have reserved plenty of time for relaxing and visiting at the hotel or a nearby beach and for small group outings to explore nearby towns and beaches. Schedule a wine tour with a few friends! Grab a coffee or beer, share lunch, trade stories and discuss challenges and successes of Airflow driving, maintenance, and restoration with other "experts"!
Our host hotel has reserved various blocks of rooms for our Meet. Space is limited, so we are encouraged to reserve early to get our first choice of type of room. Click the link below for instructions.
