1935 DeSoto SG Airflow for sale

For Sale: 1935 DeSoto Airflow sedan. In this second year of DeSoto Airflow production, several improvements were incorporated over the SE model introduced in 1934. The under-appreciated waterfall radiator grille of the SE was replaced with a conservative but stylish Art Deco-inspired prow more inline with conventional stying of the time. The elegant Flying Lady hood mascot is reminiscent of the Rolls Royce Spirit of Ecstasy. The smooth streamlining of the back of the sedan with its externally mounted covered spare tire makes this car a favorite among the DeSoto Airflows. Standard equipment included four-wheel Lockheed hydraulic brakes, balanced weight distribution, "Floating Power", a 100-HP six-cylinder engine, and fender skirts. Production of the 6-passenger sedan was 6269 for the year at the retail price of $1015. In quite good condition, this car was restored by its late owner, a professional car mechanic, in about 2004. Restoration included mechanical work, body, paint, and upholstery. Shortly after the work was completed, the car incurred a damaged right front fender.
