Airflow-ers Meet in Pomona

On Sunday May 27th, Southern California members of the Airflow Club gathered at the Wally Parks NHRA Museum in Pomona to experience the history of the National Hot Rod Association and view a great collection of land-speed record and drag cars. From the Pomona Fairplex we caravanned to La Paloma Restaurant for a great Sunday lunch. Over lunch we discussed plans for an Airflow Caravan to the 55th National Meet in Chico, deciding to do the 500-600 mile drive in two days. Attending the lunch were (from my imperfect memory) John and Connie Librenjak (organizers), Bill Rothenbuhler, Tony Burke, Steve Enneking, Steve and Linda Wilson, John and Barbara Boyd, Gary and Sandy Grossich, Tom Prince, Jim and Paula Lightfoot. The southern contingent will meet in Pasadena, picking up Lightfoots and Wilsons along the way, with arrival planned for mid-afternoon Tuesday, June 19.
