The AIRFLOW CLUB OF AMERICA, INCORPORATED is a nonprofit organization founded in June 1962. The Club is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, exhibition, and use of Chrysler Airflow and DeSoto Airflow automobiles, Dodge Airflow trucks, as well as collecting, recording, preserving, and disseminating Airflow information, data, and lore to the world of old car enthusiasts and authors in order to clarify and publish the truth of the Airflow's contributions to the automotive world. Equally important, is the promotion of fellowship and cooperation among Club members.

The Airflow Club is organized into three regions, Eastern, Central, and Western. Each of these three regions has occasional activities. Contact the Regional Directors listed on the Club Officers page for that information. In addition, we have several members in Canada and seven other countries.

Brief History of the Club

The Airflow Club, founded in 1962, has grown to a membership of approximately 600 with members currently in the U. S., Canada, and seven other countries. The Club is organized into three regions, covering the Eastern, Central and Western portions of the U.S. Each year one of the regions hosts the Club's Annual Meet. There is a rigorous judging of the cars at this meet focusing on originality and quality of restoration. Many members attending the annual meets drive their cars to and from the meet. The three regions also hold events at various times throughout the year. The Eastern Region annually has a banquet during the Hershey weekend each fall and the Western Region has for the past several years attended the San Diego Swap Meet in the spring as a group.

Newsletter:

The Club publishes a monthly Newsletter containing stories and photographs of members and their cars at various activities as well as historical information on the development and history of these cars. Also included is a members' Marketplace page with Airflow cars, parts, and memorabilia wanted or for sale. The Club also sponsors projects to reproduce some special parts unobtainable elsewhere such as rubber parts and owners manuals. Those items on hand are listed on a Club Store page. The Club produces a roster of all of the members with information about their Airflow cars which is sent only to the members. The networking through Club membership provides an unparalleled resource of information for those involved in restoring an Airflow car. If you are having problems in finding a replacement part or need to know what the correct application is for your project, someone in the Club will have faced the same questions and will have that information.

Because the Airflow Club is relatively small, it has developed as a very friendly organization. We will make anyone with an interest in the DeSoto and Chrysler Airflow cars and Dodge Airflow trucks welcome.

Meeting and Activity Schedule:

The Airflow Club has an Annual Meet, which includes a car show with rigorous judging, and banquet each year. The location rotates through the three regions of the Club. The 2008 Annual Meet was held in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, the 2009 Annual Meet was held in the Tacoma/Fife, Washington and the 2010 Annual Meet was held in Lexington, Kentucky. The 2011 Annual Meet will be held in Durango, Colorado from June 9-13. The car shows at these meets can be expected to draw from twenty to thirty Airflow cars. You may contact Tony Palmer by phone at (970) 375-0804, via FAX at (817) 261-1229 or via Email at mharp4@hotmail.com for details on the Durango meet.

In addition to the Annual Meet, the regional groups participate in several other events during the year. The Eastern Region has a banquet each year in conjunction with the Hershey Swap Meet in the fall. The Western Region attends the San Diego Swap Meet in the spring as a group and has an annual banquet in San Diego's Old Town.
